Catchy tunes are just the icing on the cake here. Infectious energy, surprising heart, and engaging characters fill it out and make this really worth watching.

[Purchase it] Do you like silly things? Do you like musicals? Do you like a fun story? Do you like it when Scottish people say things like "dinnae"? Then this indy film is for you! There's some obvious gripes, but they're far outweighed by the sheer heart of this movie and its characters. I can see this easily becoming a cult classic for years to come.

A proper musical, with memorable songs, and horror elements. A lot of fun.

With plenty of festive cheer to go around, strong performances, fun & memorable music, awesome dance numbers, interesting characters, and a surprising emotional punch, all on top of very solid effects & inventive zombie kills, it manages to do about as good a job at being a Christmas Horror Musical as it could have. Clever, surprising, & always interesting, its only major flaws are the cartoonishly evil big bad & the occasional tonal issues. Overall though, it's very worth seeing.

The songs are great, as they perfectly capture a "High School Musical" Disney vibe, but the story's been done and redone to death. Take away the musical portion, and it's a generic ho hum zombie film, with sometimes cringey acting. Like I say all the time...Just because something is different, doesn't automatically make it good.

It's literally just a premise and musically it hits its notes. There isn't a story here, no character arc, no actual theme, nothing at all, really. Tbh, it only got this high of a rating from me because 'Solider at War' slaps.

I guess this just shows I'm not much of a person for musicals. Without the musical stuff it would have been just a really boring zombie movie. Some very awkward acting, okay visuals (liked the bleakness and the rain), but I was kinda bored watching it.

Uneven. Drama works, not an original zombie movie but effective. Music is inconsistent; some songs are great, some are just cheesy. Music also feels misplaced sometimes, specifically as it gets more dramatic. Would have worked better as more of a comedy in theory, but I didn't find it overly funny either. Ella Hunt is nice to look at and does a good job. Shot pretty well. Wanted to love, went so up and down for me; at times great, at times lousy.

Hart and Reilly's music isn't bad. The tunes are catchy and fit the teen musical genre well. It's the writing and direction that's poor, with lousy staging of the musical numbers, and an astonishingly stale zombie tale that feels like it's written for someone who's never seen a zombie flick in their life.

A fun premise that never actually finds its footing. The acting is okay, the songs somewhat generic and forgettable, and the gore was decent most of the time even when the kills were only adequate. The Zombies themselves were a disappointment and there were too many scenes that went on too long which made the movie drag at parts and there were way too many times where the characters just stood around and did nothing.

Good musical, some neat kills, a few funny moments, leaves the door open for a sequel.

This film is a weird mixture of a musical, comedy and a horror movie. Unfortunately it does not do any of the genres very well. The script only has a few good moments. overall this movie is disappointing.

I wish I could recommend this more highly, because I really did enjoy the musical numbers. It's just that the rest of the movie isn't particularly great, both on a direction and a script level.

To me, the only thing worse than yet another ridiculous zombie movie is a teenage zombie musical. Ella Hunt was very pretty and reminded me of a young Katie Holmes. If you haven't had enough of stupid snarling zombies and mindless plots and dialog, then perhaps this won't annoy you as much as it did me. I really couldn't enjoy much of any of it except for a few scenes with Ella.

It's a zombie Christmas musical ... sounds interesting, I didn't really find it so. The songs are fine, but there's really zero character development, so you get a very by-the-numbers zombie film with some songs in it. It's been compared to "Shaun of the Dead" ... that's an absurd comparison.

The acting and music production has a low-budget feel, but it's got enough heart and just... commitment to the bit that it's pretty much a delight to sit through.

This started off quite promisingly; the cast is ok and the songs are catchy, but it soon got obvious that the director has learnt his craft by watching Shaun of the Dead on repeat. After an hour you have seen all that the film has to offer which makes the remaining third feel quite heavy. This would have required a stronger script to carry it to the finish. Even the Christmas setting feels like an afterthought; it’s filled with related imagery but not utilised in the story or themes.
