Another Happy Day

A chaotic film around a wedding and a dysfunctional family with a lot of dislikeable characters. A few really good scenes, E.Miller's performance and character throughout, and Kate.B's arrival halfway that takes the story up a notch - those positives aside there are too much contrived melodrama going on for this to make any emotional or intellectual impact. *Preview*: #13#, exp-3*, story, (reviews), cast, R2.

A bad version of rachel getting married. The acting is just ridiculous.

This was a messy film, but I think the fact that it was scattered added to its appeal. Just like the family depicted, the film has a real chaotic structure. Each member of this family is insane and a lot of them are downright despicable people, but there are a handful of excellent characters here and their stories are quite remarkable. It's a high wire act, teetering but never completely falling. It may stumble once in a while, but it carries on until the very end.
