A million metric tons of gloopy CGI still can't make me care.

Haters might have actually saved this movie by underrating it. Instead of expecting nothing, I went in expecting a dud, and it turned out alright so I was positively surprised. It's cute, it's pretty, it's a fun little Marvel adventure and works perfectly if you shut your brain and enjoy the ride. Good that we jumped into the action right from the start, but once finished the whole movie felt like 2h of exposition dump for upcoming projects. I'm fine with that though.

Well I rather enjoyed this. There are spoons of convenience through the plot but I think it carried it off. I liked the weird imagery of the quantum realm. Jonathan Majors makes a good villain, more complicated than the standard comic book fare. One big point against it, I am really tired of characters not having proper conversations. "I'll explain later, I can't say, you won't understand, I'm trying to protect you", no, stop it, no.

Lots of fun, but definitely the weakest of the trilogy. The antagonist was expertly acted by Jonathan Majors, and the stakes are somewhat high, but there’s a sad lack of character growth. It’s saved by a really good villain and the acting, most of which was great. I also enjoyed Scott and Cassie’s relationship quite a bit too. The effects are goofy, just how I like my comic book movies. Strictly for Ant-Man fans probably. Mostly inconsequential to the rest of the MCU, but that’s not a bad thing.

Quantumania is yet another messy and poorly written entry to the MCU. I could somewhat argue that this was also kinda good (because I did enjoy some of it), but I can't really look past the terrible cg, poor editing, and generic side characters. In fact I couldn't really look at all because for some reason they decided not to turn on the lights before they turned on the cameras. But honestly, if you grew up with Spy Kids and other early 2000s sci fi adventures, then you may like this one.
