Being directed by one of the few female directors of Hollywood's golden age, Anybody's Woman (1930) becomes a intriguing affair. While it pans out predictable in the last act, up until that point there were several layers you rarely see in a melodrama from this time. It's another very respectable performance from Ruth Chatterton being teamed with Clive Brook again. As a result a good early talkie, even if it falls a little towards the end.
