A colourful B-western from MGM adapted from a story by Ernest Haycox, best known for "Stagecoach". Like that story, there's a large group of characters confined to a small space with multiple plot threads. Besides the attempt to steal the gold and the rampaging Apaches, there's a romantic triangle between Horton, Barbara Ruick and Fanny Webson. Harry Morgan is one of Horton's men and a teenage Robert Blake is also on hand.
