Apaches

Filmed in February of 1977, Apaches was the first of three well-made long-form PIF's to come out in 1977/78. This little gem is also the best of the three. Expertly directed by John Mackenzie and with a great script by Neville Smith, Apaches expertly handles its topic of farm safety. The deaths in this film can be disturbing at times (Sharon's off-camera death from weed killer poisoning is downright NIGHTMARISH) but overall, the film has a delightfully dark and dream-like atmosphere. MUST-SEE.
