Approaching the Unknown

Strong is good here, and he just about managed to hold my attention.

Awful ! Nothing is believable, from the instant communication to the non professionalism of the astronauts or the absolutely nonsensical way in which the "reactor" is invented. But what really sinks the film is that nothing happens, the plot is just boring. Gives sci-fi a bad name

Unfocused execution draws more attention to the flawed premise than anything else, though there are moments that transcend it, if only briefly and barely.

It drags a bit but Mark Strong is good in this.

Seriously under rated movie. While I can see it will not be for everyone. If you consider yourself a true Sci-fi fan you should really ignore the negativity and give it a watch. The effects and filming technique are relatively simple, but well done. Never thought much of Strong before this, but he was spectacular here as he had to carry the movie almost solely on his shoulders.
