Cute and fun, but not much more than a light date movie. Auteuil is fun to watch, and jokes are usually chuckle-worthy. Flirts with the absurd rather frequently for a film that starts off with attempted suicide.

Decent "watch-with-a-girl" movie. Points mostly from being romantic comedy without Hugh Grant or Julia Roberts. Thank God for that.

Very slow.

This was great hit in French box-office. Quite typical French comedy with many twists and gourmet food. As film is written by men, so it follows mostly the male perspective. Actors are excellent.

There's little reason for Auteuil's character to become enmeshed in this person's psychodrama so quickly and so thoroughly. That disinterest in justifying the details of the film's very premise strikes me as characteristically French, and, therefore, not all that troubling. The film occasionally flirts with escalation into full-on farce and probably would have been better if it had just given into that inclination. As it stands, it's a bit too soft and purposeless to be memorable.
