Hawkes delivers a great performance, I've only ever seen him in Eastbound and Down, so it's cool to see him pop up. I feel like I've seen this movie a hundred times tho.

Watching the little layers this film has peel back was enjoyable but it's nothing new and not that interesting. Great performance by Hawkes.

A very realistic feeling film about a girl coming of age under the rule of father who's not quite fit to handle the job. All the actors do a great job building and sustaining moments that add up to a rich portrait of a struggling family.
