Armed and Dangerous

The 80s were a wonderful time. Comedy films were being made that existed in a bizarro reality. This film is about a cop who is framed, and a lawyer who quits because he's bad, both becoming security guards. I counted, and there are no jokes in this film, so it's only a comedy in theory. John Candy and Eugene Levy, both guys I enjoy, can't rise above this awful material.

I could have done without seeing Eugene Levy in chaps, but fair enough.

Loved this as a kid

Not John Candy's finest work, but still an enjoyable movie.

A mediocre John Candy film is, I guess, more watchable than most mediocre films from SCTV alums. But, really, if you've seen one Eugene Levy-as-awkward-sidekick film, you've seen them all. Even though this was one of the first of them.

John Candy a legend actor that left too soon. Funny movie.
