Army of One

White Mr. T by a memorial fire for his fallen comrade: "Fight me with a stick! FIGHT me with a STICK. ["No, c'mon, why?"] Fight me with a stick! ["Naw screw this, I'm goin' to bed!" White Mr. T pulls out a guitar; warbling:] Ohhh Earrrlll. [Pause] Awe I can't play for shit." End scene. The lead gives a decent effort, but she shouldn't have.

Cast is ok, story is weak.

Brenner (Ellen Hollman), a special forces Army ranger, is seeking retaliation for the murder of her husband at the hands of cartel members in Stephen Durham's Army of One. Unfortunately, the bloody, hammy, and clichéd antics of Army of One fall short. While it is understandable that Army of One doesn't have the budget or desire to fulfill the same suspense level as Park Chan-wook's Lady Vengeance or Coralie Fargeat's Revenge...

A Woman getting revenge because the bad guys killed her husband. Main bad guy is a woman named "Mama" & she owns the land & runs illegal drugs for money & guns. She's trained in the Armed Forces to take down the evil gang of Men. Side story corrupt female Sherriff & main Sherriff which plays very little role to the main story. The Woman warns Mama that she'll be shot on the forehead. She does just that. Reminds me of True Lies when Arnold tells the person how he's going to kill them.

The writing and directing was terrible. The criminals characters were entirely pathetic. The heroine while great looking was saddled with ridiculous dialog. It was very hard to enjoy much of anything about this, and I finally turned it off not quite half way in.
