Around the World in 80 Days

I liked the animation style that combined claymation and cell animation to 3D. Some animal models were okay. That’s about it. Awful soundtrack, awful plot progression via montages, awful character dynamics, awful dialogue and terrible logical discrepancies that even annoyed my 7yo. (It was established that flying was an option FOR THE WHOLE TIME!? Bottle messages traveling through alps - HOW!? And where the hell did they keep their luggage? It’s a kids film, but kids aren’t brainless.)

The most desperate cool-with-the-kids adaptation of Around the World in 80 Days (2021) novel. I'll try to be kind, as I love this story, so I have some attachment to what was going on. It's aimed at the younger kids, anyway, and not a grumpy old man like me. There is adventure, so as long as you're in a childish mood, that adventure can entertain.
