agonisingly beautiful reflection on past memory and present experience. why did this affect me so much? i don't know.

The intimacy of the shots are well articulated. There's a sort of familiarity with the terrain and a sense of casual calm that permeates this short. The cinematography is excellent, including the introspective black spaces with dialogue. I think the most beautiful aspect is the charming contemplations of interrelatedness.

Dreamlike and ethereal certainly, but the narration and vague notion of story is less compelling than sound and light alone.

A non-participatory way of seeing the world. A woman tying her shoes, devastation, a concert, all events told in the same breath, with the same compassion and unmovable awareness.

At first I felt completely alien to Apichatpong's world here, I didn't like it especially much but as it went on I started to like it more and more and in the end found it a pretty pleasant experience. Very brief, though.
