With the poster and the first 20 minutes of the movie it really flips you on your head about half way thru. I’m not sure it fully pays off emotionally and kinda lingers in that territory of serious for serious sake. Good performances

The overtly dramatic turn it takes about half way through makes it a lot less interesting. Was vibing before that

A tonal mess

A refreshingly honest and intimate portrayal of a young woman's life as she examines herself, her future, and her relationships. The plot, dialogue, acting, and editing were all superb. I love some of the camera shots, like when she is talking to her parents. Instead of having all three actors in frame or using a classic shot-reverse-shot, the camera is facing Britt as she looks up and at an angle while she speaks to her parents off camera. The focus always remains on her and her reactions.

For the vast majority of its runtime, I was ready to give this a score of like 20 here and label it one of the worst examples of twee arthouse first world problems bullshit. And it IS that, for 98% of its runtime, which is why its rating still isn't great. But then it busts out one of the strangest, darkest, out-of-left-field, "What the hell?"-inducing endings I've seen in a long time. (P.S. Britt Robertson does show her boobs, but only for literally like one second, so don't get too excited.)

On the verge of painful to watch! Follows a fucked up girl's relationships to older men. Nothing happens, it's just a big bore!

A derivative waste of money that no one should suffer through.
