With that title and the film's jaunty soundtrack, I went in expecting a Bond knockoff and felt sorely disappointed at first. Then I realized the movie's something smarter and much deeper, a sort of Yojimbo for the corrupt world of international finance. There are punctuations of violence, sure, but the movie is more interested in demonstrating how international subversion and the deaths of 29 men can mean nothing compared to the murder of one woman.
