At the Edge of the World

Overlong and self-serious, AtEotW comes off more as a gorgeously filmed promotional tool for anti-whaling activist group Sea Shepherds than a documentary with a thesis beyond the obvious "Whaling is bad." I'm by no means a proponent of objectivity in every pursuit, but the sympathetic slant of ATEOTW can become absolutely overbearing. I don't particularly mind a set viewpoint, but the film would benefit from treating its subjects with a little more skepticism and a little less fawning.
