Mostly just lame

Mostly love Corman but this was just lame. I did like the overt winking sexual jokes but was drifting to a dream during most of the run time

"Atlas" falls within the sword-and-sandals genre, featuring wooden swords that paradoxically echo the clang of steel upon collision. The standout character, Proximates the Tyrant, impresses with his mafia-esque tactics. Beyond this, the film provides scant appeal.

Quickie king Corman's contribution to the early '60s muscle man/fantasy genre, actually shot on location in Greece, with Forest as the conspicuously unpumped title hero who faces various low-budget challenges before winning the heart of breathless heroine Morris. Laughs aplenty with a cast better-suited to _Goodfellas_ and Corman himself filling in as an extra during one of the battle scenes.
