Definitely a case where content trumps form and style – this is a solid (if a little stodgy) following of the Attica uprising which, despite its (not unreasonable) agenda, manages an even handed, well-heeled portrait of how mistakes and blunders on all sides lead to gruesome tragedy – and the denouement is indeed powerfully brutal and unforgiving, almost to the point of being slightly exploitative and manipulative.

I was familiar with the name, but not the whole story. Way to drop the viewer in the deep end in the end. Powerful.
