this is basically pocket sized cassavetes and i'm not sure how long it'll live in the memory, but man, it's such a rarity to see a movie which actually captures the rhythms of how regular losers like me interact and connect. for a movie so loose it has considerable detail in the margins and fantastic tonal control; the transitions between romance, crisis, humour and bitterness are inventive yet never miss a beat. the punchline is a gem. such a lovely movie.

Not as good as my head had built it up to be. But still some scenes cut really deep. Hilarious ending as well.
