In this sequel to 'August - 1...? (1988)', a coterie of crooked businessmen - Selvam (Ranjith), Eepan (Johny) & Narayanan (Chali Pala) - frustrated with the upright Kerala Chief Minister V.G. Sadasivan (Nedumudi Venu) who constantly posed hurdles to their businesses, hires an assassin (Siddique), to kill the Chief Minister. After the first attempt by poisoning fails, DSP Perumal (Mammootty) is given the task of investigating & stopping the determined assassin from further attempts. (Summary by iceblox)
