Avalanche Express

Some may find this to be tedious, but to my delight I loved this film. Stripped of all the tedious plot strands that get added to films and cause them to be dragged down, this is a streamlined suspense movie which, if you peel off the Cold War politics, is spy drama mixed with a tale of human determination in extreme circumstances. Sadly the director and Robert Shaw passed away in post production, but the final film is still very well made. Also look out for David Hess in a small role.

Another one bashed by the critics, but I enjoyed it as an espionage action thriller. Check out Robert Shaw's last role. Lee Marvin was good too and some good train and avalanche effects.

"Avalanche Express" has an over convoluted plot driven by a star-studded cast that seemed like they were just collecting checks in this forgettable film.
