It's Christmas Day and the Milgram family wake to find a mysterious black substance surrounding their house. Something is happening right outside their door; a terrorist attack, nuclear war? Descending into terrified arguments, they turn on the television, desperate for any information. On screen a message glows ominously: 'Stay Indoors and Await Further Instructions'. As the television exerts an ever more sinister grip, their paranoia escalates into bloody carnage.

It starts very well without knowing what it is happening. Then towards the resolution and all that piece of the work gets crappier and crappier. And the end I saw it coming.

A really good title in a very nice font. The rest is bad.

While sorely lacking a sense of humor and about as subtle as evil TV sets demanding attention from captive viewers (whoops, that's the whole plot), this Christmas tech- and body-horror tale is nonetheless entertainingly done and audaciously gross.

Feels like they were forty years too late with this. Like Bob Dylan releasing a song about JFK in 2020. To their credit, the genre-bending what-the-fuckness was intriguing, but the unravelling finale was some awkward amalgam of remake and homage to Videodrome... and, well, it was just bad. It didn't have to be. All they had to do was, instead of the end credits, cut to the Netflix logo and have a narrator declare: "Cut the cord with Netflix!"

Top notch acting. The SF part is a letdown. More reviews here : http://movie-freak.be

An extended Black Mirror retread. It's not awful, it just pisses me off too much. The solid premise is executed poorly and heavy-handedly, and the caricatures on screen fall in line.

A moronic script that insults average IQ's. The aliens in this film would have you believe newborn babies can read languages and see with adult vision.
