Awakening of the Beast

A three-part confusing, entrancing journey into Brazil's rotten plagues, specially misogyny. First is showcase of people doing demented, depraved sex after dropping LSD while a psychiatrist gets interrogated by peers. Second is an interesting Joe's self-reflection -- way before this kind of meta cinema was popular in US horror --; he stands in trial for the films he has made and is found not guilty. Last is psychedelic, colored fever dream with the four addicts exposed to Coffin imagery.
