If you were guaranteed to die in the next five minutes, and had to choose a new life to be reincarnated into: would you rather be reborn as a wealthy, but cruel and sadistic slave owner; or an abused slave, who loses his entire family in increasingly disturbing ways, but maintains his moral righteousness to the end? The third act is brilliant and disturbing, and would make anyone doubt the strength of their moral backbone.
