Babi buta yang ingin terbang

Unsure how I feel about this one. It manages to create a convincing feeling of alienation, was very artfully handled and is clearly loaded with meaning about an important subject. Unfortunately I spent much of the time confused as though the director put a lot of thought into the film I don't think it manages to communicate his intentions clearly. It felt somewhat incoherent (intentionally so, so as to put us in its character's shoes) and so does not really inform us on the issue it's about.

A nice series of vignettes about living and being a different race within a tight knit community. Loved the recurring music throughout. There's definitely stuff about loss of identity in here but I dunno it was hard to completely grasp for me. Just had fun following the characters throughout their interactions with some gorgeous cinematography in certain parts.

Largely and deliberately incoherent, with a motif as its only minuscule redeeming factor. It hits with a niche audience; you'll know before you see it if it's the movie for you.
