The message of this movie is terribly muddled. It's never clear how much of JC's problems we're supposed to blame on sexism, how much are supposed to be personal flaws, and how much are just ~the wackiness of society~. Then, over halfway in, it suddenly changes into a completely different movie with different themes. The final message we get is "You, working woman, *can* Have It All", but that's only true for JC because of the very particular situation she finds herself in.

Very funny and often very heartwarming, "Baby Boom" is a movie where all things turn out right in the end. Some could hold that against the film but I don't mind. I wanted everything to turn out right in the end. Diane Keaton gives another great performance; her comedic timing is, as usual, spot on, but she also gives us a very likeable character. It's mushy, sure, but we could all use a litlte more mush in our lives. It holds a special place in my heart from childhood and it'll always be there.

"A fine multi-layered romantic comedy with delightful, laugh-out-loud turns from the two leads."

A thin premise where the protagonist fails to do the right thing and give the child up for adoption or child labor, allowing her to keep her job and comfortable lifestyle.

Sappy, cookie cutter story amnd lame direction... but Diane Keaton transcends it all . My Best Actress of the Year! Fantastic physical comedy, especially in her "freak-out" scene in the snow out front of her house !

It wasn't bad, it was just so formula. At least Three Men and A Baby had Steve Guttenberg playing with his chest hair.

Silly comedy that's so middle of the road that it should have a dashed line all the way up it
