“Genders and genres, god damn” A hidden camera goof about buddy road trip movie, hoots were hollered. Tiffany Hadish at her most tolerable.

Under Quarantine Film Reviews #87: Bad Trip takes multiple comedic tropes and pushes it to the absolute extreme and ends up far better and funnier than it had any right to be, Eric Andre is an artiste. BIRD UP!!

The White Chicks discussions and payoff is fantastic. Trips to the zoo just got a whole lot sexier.

Definitely had me laughing a few times, but this was too similar to Bad Grandpa (hidden camera road trip) Hell...even the title is similar! The best part was that they got a Hannibal Buress lookalike to pair with Eric Andre...hahaha!

The scripted bits aren’t so good but who even CARES there are so many incredible hidden camera sections and amazing reactions from unaware members of the public

It's difficult to review something like this, just because you are either on its wavelength or you are not. In this case, I laughed really hard as a man in a gorilla costume had sex with Eric Andre. I am a man with simple tastes.

The only things worth seeing here whatsoever are civilian reactions to being pranked, and even that is just mildly amusing at best. Pranks can be funny for a few minutes in a youtube clip, but it's not movie material.

I day drank a lot today and then watched this movie after ordering uber eats. I laughed when Eric Andre blended his hand in front of people. I don't know what else you want.

Totally outrageous but not as funny as I expected. Borat is the go-to for this kind of movie.

I don't know why I like these types of movies. I end up looking away when it is just too cringey to watch. Plenty of laughs, though. I grade it as better than Borat 2 but worse than Borat 1.

Kitao Sakurai creates a whole new form of movie, half buddy trip/half undercover prank show. Eric Andre is predictably over-the-top (in a good way mostly) as a man looking for the love of his life and Tiffany Haddish ups the ham factor playing a wronged escaped convict on the war path. The pranks are garish and usually involves some form of nudity or puke, but are executed well. Well worth a watch but you may want to cover your eyes when they get to the zoo.

There are some funny moments and scenes in this movie. Not all the scenes work or are funny in this comedy. The cast seem to be having a good time here. Overall I would recommend this movie.

I love how it totally plays by hidden camera movie "rules" but also adds outrageously funny and actually heart-warming layers to it -- old man on the bench giving advice, people cheering for a restored friendship on the bus, guy helping out two friends out of an accident and many others spotaneous "good samaritan" moments. Common people as "costar extras" and lots of great improv -- and also hilarious scripted comedy, like André's romantic dreams. I have't laughed this hard in quite some time.

Very rare that we actually get a straight up comedy movie in modern times. Some of the scenes just filled me with too much joy

A fun take on the Borat formula of mixing a prank show format with a road movie narrative.

My rating for this has less to do with any cinematic qualities, and more for sheer enjoyment. The most laugh out loud comedy since Borat 2 (though not quite as brilliant as Borat 2).

Captures the energy of his show relatively well without quite reaching its peaks (but the Eric Andre Show is one the best modern shows). Feel ripped off by life that I didn't get to watch this with a bunch of idiots in a theatre, but alas.

Classic, yet subdued Eric Andre stunts work pretty well in a loosely knit narrative. While some seem over the top, the unwitting performers play their roles well.

The most wholesome movie in which a guy gets raped by a gorilla. Hilariously funny and never aiming is jokes at the involved bystanders, this is outrank comedy done right.

Attempts to graft a story onto the candid camera shenanigans are largely unnecessary, but there are certainly belly laughs to be had. Andre is especially committed to the most ribald bits, and would've thrived in the Jackass era.

Very tame compared to the antics in Eric's show, not to mention that they're longer and have none of the anarchic editing so ubiquitous in the show. Feels like the 'hidden camera prank' movie that I suppose it is, but it just came and went and barely made me laugh.

The thing about this hidden camera style movie is that it strays away from the single-line, one-sentence editing technique of a regular comedy movie. I like it.

“From one of the guys who brought you Jackass & Bad Grandpa” (yet nowhere near as good), there are some guffaws to be had but you’re laughing much less frequently and for much shorter periods than the other Borat-types I’ve seen. Everything’s played for shock value but the lack of wit – and decent reactions – means it all wears thin pretty quickly. The three mains are game and everything hits the right tone, it’s just not funny enough consistently enough.

Overly crass (but, admittedly, somewhat audaciously so). It's 'Borat' meets 'Freddy Got Fingered'. The reactions that the pranks prompt from random people are invariably more funny than André's performance.

Eric André's craziness doesn't really work with a traditional movie formular. Some parts and the genuine reactions of the people are funny and overall it is quite entertaining, but as a movie it's still pretty bad.
