Ballad of Orin

Tho the plot can be a tad rocky (but still quite clear) the shooting and locations are brilliant. Dunno how correct it is but it gives a superb view of deep rural Japan in the late 1910's. Highly recomended. Synopsis is only the very start, Orin is expelled from the Goze training sisterhood because she is overly familiar with men.

Several beautiful moments (of script and cinematography) kind of fall by the wayside in favor of dramatic elements and sociopolitical commentary.
