Sohn has learned enough from her time on 'The Wire' to attempt bringing nuance to a case where she is clearly biased. The activists might be right, but knowing so little about the Gray incident their case fails to convince me. There are racists on both sides, sure, and a lot of anger and resentment. But like the police commissioner states, this is first and foremost a second amendment problem.

Thoughtful documentary tells a compelling if somewhat unfocused and one-note tale of activism; omission of detail in the Gray case makes the (to be fair blatant) one-sided nature of the film's position occasionally problematic; more of a general focus on the very real societal problems of race, especially how it infects the police force, would have given the film more resonance and impact. As it is, Sohn did strike it rich with some compelling personalities at the forefront.
