In an attempt of resocialisation, five hopeless juvenile criminals are sent away from prison into the Everglades for a survival training under the Indian Joe. When this is successful, they move back to Miami. However this offends the former illegal inhabitants of their house, all loyal customers of drug baron Cream. The conflict leads to armed fights. There are several wildly implausible events (the Everglades Scared Straight program for a start or that the teens really do change or how Joe decides to handle the gang) for modern audiences to sneer at but this is much better than its 80's peers. It's in the many details specific to Miami & VERY unusual turns like how it jumps from Dirty Dozen drama to Give-Delinquents-A-Chance messaging to revenge shoot-em-up. Most surprising: the teen girl isn't portrayed as sullied & is allowed revenge!
