First of 6 westerns Tim Holt did with Cliff Edwards as his lovable sidekick during a hectic 3 month shooting schedule. While rushed, Bandit Ranger (1942) doesn't disgrace itself as far as B-westerns go. There films weren't exactly made for their artistic preference. It's all about giving a little entertainment, and here you have Cliff singing his cute songs and fresh cowboy Holt delivering the action. That's what the hour format is for.
