Barakah yoqabil Barakah

In some ways I appreciate the subdued nature of this film where it acknowledges the social issues of its setting but doesn't pretend it has some grand answer for it. It leaves itself on a big question mark, where the narrative expresses a degree of pride in the history of the Sauds but a longing for something more ideal. At its core, I think I like this movie but I do wish the plot beats were stronger than they were or at least there was more substance to its mundanity.

Very cliché and poorly made, but bonus points for being a Saudi Arabian rom-com.
