Barbarella

A deserved camp classic with a comic book sense of humour about itself (rare in such a humourless genre as Sci-Fi) and a genuinely fascinating art design that is a dizzying mixture of classical art and tacky 60s fashion. Jane Fonda is a fucking goddess, gorgeous and goofy.

A PG-rated porn. It has the same quality of writing, and the same number of sex scenes (not shown, of course). I think it actually would have been better as a full-out NC-17, because I have no idea what else was supposed to be holding my attention; it certainly wasn't the poorly-paced action.

Kitschy and out there; entertaining first watch, but not much replay value once the novelty of it wears thin.

I give this some points for camp value and Jane's voluptuous figure. Ofcourse, this movie is stupid crap.

Very sexy for mainstream 60's fair. Some interesting sets and special effects, otherwise a bit too silly and kitschy for the modern viewer.
