Barefoot Gen 2

While not the classic and essential film that the first movie was, it is still a good although uneven picture that shows some of the after effects that wars have on the young. This as well as the rest of the manga that this is based off of would be better suited to OVA or TV territory where it would have a longer running time to do the manga justice.

Worse than the first part, but some scenes manage to keep the mood.Generally, emphasis is put on the peers than on the family matters,which are neglected by the movie's creators. It's still interesting to see how people were trying to survive in those days. However, many topics are treated too light and aim for an easy solution. I can understand why more people watched the first part.The last scene,although positive, is just something no one would do. So, again, it lacks a psychological insight.
