Top badass moment? I used to have pet rats and thought that was pretty neat, but pet polar bears? That’s a whole paradigm shift in badassness. The red shades look pretty awesome too, so it’s a shame Mr. Freeze blows the whole cool dude image thing by wearing a stupid, ill-fitting helmet that makes him look like Robbie the Robot. Not keen on the metallic blue piping on his suit either. He really should've checked out Alex Costa's channel on YouTube first. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.

Mr. Freeze always has such depressing plots for what should essentially be a kids' action story. However, this wasn't a disappointment. I thought it was executed much better than the smaller storylines from the animated series involving Mr. Freeze.

Visually, it's great. It ups the animation from the show a little and makes it more cinematic. The plot isn't the most compelling to merit a feature length but it has its moments.

Pretty good actually.

Not nearly as good as BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM, and barely even a stand-alone movie (you need to have seen episodes of the Animated Series to appreciate this at all) -- still, ANY product from Bruce Timm's unit is a million times better than the Burton and (especially) Schumacher BATMAN films.

It has some cool action, and the story is effecting, but Mr. Freeze doesn't come across as a proper villain. It's almost as if he was made so sympathetic that he stopped being menacing. It's worth a look, but watch "Mask of the Phantasm" instead.

Better Mr. Freeze than the one in the live-action movie. More believable and more real.

A bit short, but made with the same quality as the animated series, and with the same voice actors. A good Mr. Freeze story.

Everything from the plot, to the animation, to the characters to the stakes felt like a padded out TV episode. But it is a Batman: TAS episode, so this keeps it out of the red zone.

One of my favorite animated Batman movies. The depth of Mr. Freeze's character was refreshing, making him one of my favorite.

The animation looks beautiful (despite the occasional awkward CGI one expects from 1998 animation), but the plot doesn't feel appreciably more nuanced or fleshed out than an episode of the animated series, even with the longer running time. Batgirl's lack of agency nagged at me as well.

A solid movie based on the great Batman animated series. Mr. Freeze has always been a compelling character in the series, and this gives some satisfying conclusion to his story arc. It's the best Mr. Freeze movie you can currently get.

This felt very much just like an extended episode of Batman: The Animated Series, and not in a good way. I just didn't think it had the weight and story to justify a movie. This is especially apparent when you compare it to Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993), which was far superior. I've never found Mr. Freeze to be a particularly interesting villain, but at least he was better here than in Batman & Robin (1997). Anyway, the animation was good, and it's entertaining enough.

I still don't feel sold that Mr Freeze should be a villain.

It's nicely animated bar some dodgy 90's CGI and is well voiced and stylish. Freeze has always been a weak villain in terms of character and story so he adds little to this. Kept me and my son entertained for an hour anyhow.

Decent animated Batman fare, but there are better single episodes from the series to watch.

Basically another episode of the cartoon, but definitely one of the better ones, aside from some poorly aged CGI effects.

If you are a fan of the 90's Batman: The Animated Series then you will enjoy SubZero. The story told in this film, as with the series, is very different from your normal comic book fare. There is a lot more heart in this story than in most two hour feature films. I had a great time and it is a movie that I could watch again and again.

Not as good as Mask of the Phantasm but still a solid entry in the BTAS movie series. Mr Freeze is a fantastic villain who's motivations are clear and at time's you can sympathize for him. That said this film does have some problems notably it spends way too much time with Barbara Gordon kidnapped trying to escape, a lot of time with Robin, and not enough time with Batman who in the first half barely makes any appearance.
