Batman vs. Robin

One of the problems here is that the opening scenes with the Doll Maker are uniquely creepy & far more compelling than what follows with the Court of Owls. While the Court is a great idea and mostly worked in the comics it does beg the question: why does such an all-knowing illuminati-like organization suddenly choose to reveal themselves? Why not continue to manipulate behind the scenes? The action's good but exhausting & Robin or not, it's weird to watch a father to fight his 10-year old son.

Batman vs Robin is most definitely a step-up from last year's disappointment that was Son of Batman. With some crisper animation and some more interesting voice acting by Sisto, and Conroy (back as Thomas Wayne) and a tighter story, one can forgive some pretty shoddy voice acting by Allan, and O'Mara. It's an improvement but it is not on the level of the Justice League DCAU yet.

Better than average Batman animated film that at times felt rushed and at other times like it was dragging. The animation is fluid and the voice acting is decent. The biggest issue I have is that I don't care for the Damian story line at all nor for the character.

A much better movie than the one its a sequel too, and a decent movie on its own, but still not as good as a lot of the of the DC Animated Movies.

Maybe I should have liked it more, but the main antagonist seemed hollow as his obsessions didn't ring true. I couldn't find anything particularly interesting about the Court or the Talons either. Kudos to DC for allowing the father/son conflict, though.

This is really bad. Title is also misleading. It's not even the main storyline of the movie. It's about a Vigilante wanting Robin to choose over Batman to side with him to kill bad guys. He has a whole group of vigilantes with him. So obviously they are bad. Robin finds out that he was betrayed by him. So he fights along batman to defeat the vigilante.

Have you ever asked yourself questions like, "What if Bruce Wayne was in Wangan Midnight?" or, "What if Batman had a Gundam?" If you have then Batman vs. Robin is the movie for you.

The struggle for Damian to accept all the information he has whirling around in his head is the strong point if this movie. Seeing a 10 year old boy struggle with the decision to seek justice or vengeance creates a dark tone that sets the mood for the entire film as it should. Solid villains in the Court of Owls with the only gripe being that it was a bit rushed to keep the run time down. It strikes me as odd to do so, since these films are definitely not geared towards children.

My first look into the animation world of Batman. And it's a dark world filled with violence, so that aspect delivered. Wasn't too thrilled about the bad guys though, but with young Robin as a tweener helped on the overall feel of things. The story may have been half-assed, but the brutality help cover up for some of it's short-comings.
