Plays simply something that, by its nature, is based on contradictions and uncertainty. Some fun acting on display, particularly from Dan Duryea, but that's not nearly enough. It feels at times like a major inspiration on the orphanage episodes of MASH.

A touch too corny.

This just might be the most heavy handed war film I've seen in the last 5 years. There are plenty of good things about this movie too. Rock Hudson does well as the complex Dean Hess, the Koreans in the film were generally shown in an okay way. It also gets exciting at points but the score hurt the movie.
