Great acting. Showed the Iraq war from a number of different viewpoints. Will the real "axis of evil", the true "evildoers" ever have the guts to point the finger at themselves? Yeah right.

Obviously a far more truthful representation than most Hollywood confections on this subject (notably when compared with Bigelow's Oscar-winning junk), showing a multiplicity of perspectives and at least gesturing towards an analysis of the complexities of the situation. It is odd and unfair that Broomfield is sometimes treated as simply an exploitative documentarian. A good film, but one viewing is probably enough. Occasional clunkiness, but the non-professional actors mostly do quite well.

Stupid people doing stupid things for stupid reasons. I guess that's as good a description of the Iraq war as any.

Although Battle for Haditha is certainly a plotted and arranged fiction, it is skillful and informative without corrupting our perspective via the techno-faddishness that undoes current filmmakers.

A gruesome insight at the Iraq war and one case in particular, seen through the perspectives of both the Iraqi and the Americans. The actors are outstanding and the overall feel realistic.

I was really disappointed in this. Most of the battle scenes were pretty bad. There was a scene where a man's back is torn apart by bullets, and his front was clear of the entry wounds. Little things like this throughout ate away from the realism. The only parts that stood out are Elliot Ruiz's performance and the camerawork (for the most part). Other than that, the rest is forgettable.
