Amusing and cute but never as funny or creative as Buster's best.

this one is a pretty middle of the road keaton movie, it's worth watching for any fan of silent comedy, but other than that i'd be hard pressed to recommend it to anyone.

As with The Saphead or Seven Chances, one gets the distinct impression MGM felt Keaton would be ever so much more marketable if he'd just star in nice safe stage adaptations modeled after the stuff Douglas Fairbanks was doing the decade before. They weren't entirely wrong, as this was his highest-grossing picture. It has it's moments--I loved the sinking table gag.

Keaton's rich wimp through a case of mistaken identity ends up training for boxing match. Which leads to some amusing gags and an unexpected fierce end fight, that isn't played for laughs. It's also surprising to see in what an amazing physical shape Keaton was when he strips down his suit.

It's fine in itself, and probably lot of fun for silent film enthusiasts, but it misses a definitive reason to make this a must see for everyone.

A rare instance of Keaton adapting from another medium, and as such it's a little heavier on plot than usual, and never reaches the amazing balletic heights of his best work. Lesser Keaton is still amusing, though.

Weakest feature film directed by Keaton. There is more plot than in usual his movie, and at the same time almost no jokes. And plot isn't any good.

Camping scene is awesome, but the story itself is outdated.
