I was not very familiar with Bruce Lee actually did, he is more of a popular icon for me. but this is a very meticulous and informative documentary about the meaning of his struggles, his impact on Hollywood, and also the depth of racism in the USA which never ceases to freak me out. I loved his passion, his commitment to what he does, and how he communicates it, I felt that I wouldn't like him as a person; but now that guy in that yellow jumpsuit makes much more sense to me, which is something.

I'm disappointed in Be Water. It starts slow as it meanders from Lee's early film career, martial arts background, and racial identity with only the thinnest connecting tissue. The second half gets to Lee's true film stardom but forgets most threads except Lee's racial identity in America, specifically Hollywood. It is an interesting exploration of Asian representation in cinema and Lee's charisma occasionally shines but I consider it just okay and a non-essential 30 for 30.

I am starting to lose hope that I will ever achieve Bruce Lee's physique.
