Be with Me

The film has a narrative of sorts, several in fact, but the style subsumes them completely. The film is all about the emotional lives of its three central characters and the complementary three secondary ones, and the narrative is just a hook, a way to draw you in to their emotional state, just like the music and visuals, which I should mention are excellent in an imperfect but resonant way. A rich, vibrant and emotionally complex film full of melancholy and hope.

I'll give the director some points for originality: in one story arc, he avoids spoken dialog and substitutes close-ups of text messages on mobile phones, interspersed with obnoxious pop songs. In another, he combines fictional characters with documentary. But the end result simply doesn't work as a movie. This is "challenging" cinema, to put it nicely.
