Beer and Pretzels

Middling comedy short has some good moments when the Stooges go into action pratfalling at the swanky nightclub (be prepared for a lot of tables to be upset), but a too heavy focus on Healy's bemused drollery means that the pacing slows at times, making even a brief 20 minutes feel its weight.

A early The Three Stooges short that was done for MGM in 1933 when Ted Healy was the head man before the Stooges jumped over to Colombia to make their more famous long lasting series of shorts there. Can't say the comedy was very good. Healy just wasn't funny and he's the man that forces the attention. And they even had to fill out this short with a lot of singing and dancing numbers. I guess they didn't have enough material to fill 20 minutes. Didn't really have enough material to fill 2 min.
