All dressed up, but few emotions, few real conflics -- are these women really in love with this guy just because he's Rob Pattinson? --, a poorly written main character and a cheap storytelling. It's not seductive or provocative, even with these beautiful three women.

Way too dramatic. Plus for the setting of the fin de siecle Paris though.

For the first time in my life I walked out of the movie theatre before the ending of the film. Terrible.

Year's worst adaptation so far. Not only as an adaptation, but also technically and scriptly terrible in general sense. Thurman and Thomas try to keep temperature up but even their titles would not save such a directing. You are not allowed to know whether take mise-en-scénes seriously or see them as just kinda stupid joke. Robert Pattinson (who the main character) can't get angry since that's all he's supposed to do in whole. Except he seems like he pulls his fangs out and roar anytime...

Botched adaptation of the Guy de Maupassant novel, which retains none of the tone of the original. Christina Ricci is the only reason to watch this, unless lush production values are enough for you.

Feels a little reductive in places, but offers some really interesting discourse on the use of sex as control.

Im afraid these brilliant actresses have accepted the roles in this dreadful script just to get laid with Robert Pattinson... Such a disastrous adaptation...

Terrible to the extreme, I was unable to watch even half of this garbage. Every shot of Rob Patinson is just "oh look at me, every women on Earth wants to fuck me". I give it one point for the cup in ball scenes.

A little cliché and superficial when it comes to dialogue and direction. Nice plot, though, gets better towards the end. And cool performances, esp. by Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci.
