Martin and Holliday have true chemistry. The music is catchy, and the story is funny. I love watching this again and again.

I consider myself a musical fan, but I could hardly enjoy Bells are Ringing. The numbers are drab and pandering, and the movie takes itself way too seriously, trying to say something about human interaction in the modern age or whatever, and as such it lacks the irony and self awareness of musicals like Singin' in the Rain, 7 Brides to 7 Brothers, or Kiss Me Kate. It all feels like something that could have been enjoyable in the late 50s.
