Any fan of Green Acres will appreciate this. It's kind of the dark side of Hooterville: Benji is homeless, diving in trashcans for food, Joe Carson is a sweet, but somewhat senile, diner owner and Eb has been reduced to kidnapping children for ransom. All that's missing is Mr. Haney dealing coke while Mrs Douglas turns tricks. Tell me I don't appreciate a nice family flick.

It's a stupid predictable animal-centric kids film, but the direction is actually pretty good for this kind of thing.

It made some success in the season, but there is nothing to distinguish of others films of the genre.
