Best Laid Plans keeps the audience guessing even after it lays out the main obstacle within the first 15 minutes of the film. The audience may wonder why the filmmakers let them in on that secret but we (those of use who've watched it) know there are more secrets to lay bare. When I think of Reece Witherspoon coming into America's conscience as an actor and as a sex symbol this is the movie I think of. I also think of Terrence Howard who is fantastic in everything. Brolin does a good job too.

This is an entertaining drama/thriller film. The 3 leads of the film all do a good job with their respective roles. The script is good, it has some good twist and turns. Overall I would recommend this film.

Unusually for me I have to say this film ended too soon. The plot was set up for an endless number of twists and unexpected turns - but plop just finished before it got going!

Best Laid Plans is a very good movie that's thrilling throughout, save for approximately two minutes when it drags. That's nitpicking, but it's those two minutes away from being a great film. As it is, it's very engaging, contains characters that you will care about even in spite of their flaws, and while the plot might try to be a little bit too clever at times, the choices made don't hinder our enjoyment. This is an enjoyable thriller that you'll likely have a good time with. I know I did.

Not bad. Not great. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I wouldn't watch it again. But it had decent acting, some interesting twists, a few desperate attempts to get viewers to watch the film, and a few rabbit trails in the plot, but it wasn't bad.
