Betting on Zero

Bland, down-the-middle documentary resembles an extended current affairs investigation, rather than a movie per se, never bothering to develop either of its protagonists Ackman or Johnson beyond the superficial and therefore not quite sustaining itself to feature length. However the behind-the-scenes machinations of Herbalife, and Ackman's jockeying to slip around them, is inherently fascinating (to this viewer anyway!) Probably not compelling if the subject doesn't already interest you.

The good news is, that it isn't a sports spin-off movie from 'The Nightmare before Christmas'. The bad news is that it's just about some rich guy 'The Big Shorting' some giant pyramid scheme... and if you're hoping a pyramid scheme has something to do with 'Stargate', I have some more bad news for you... so... Oh! Good news! Features angry Mexicans! (Bad news: No mariachis.)
