Neat subject matter. Horrible narration.

While some of the Oragami on display is fantastic, this documentary takes it so god damned seriously and with such weight that it's hard not to just laugh at it. It also just doesn't spend enough time with anything (and in some cases just basically mention a group before moving on). I realize there are people that take this as seriously as this doc does but it's also the job of the doc to make me see it that way and it just fail in that regard.

A bit dull at points, but the art created is mind blowing. It's insane to think that the simple act of folding can apply to so many things.

I was unaware that Origami had developed so far. It has its periods, its movements. There are all the different tendencies and arguments that you find in older, more mature art forms like painting and literature. Some are technicians who love to see how many folds they can get into a piece (with a thousand or so being a big accomplishment). There are minimalists, modernists, postmodernists...many different schools. My favorite, Chris Palmer. Great documentary.

All those things you can do just by folding a piece of paper... Amazing.

There's some real artistry in the construction but the silly narration and the pace of it ruin it, also the music is irritating and there are too many characters
