Beware! The Blob

The blob's first victim is a tiny little adorable kitten, which I kinda gotta give the movie props for. Later, though, it tricks you into thinking the blob ate an entire boy scout troop, but towards the end the damn brats turn up unharmed. Boo! If you're looking for cheesy PG-rated comedy horror chock full of terrible early '70s fashion, this is it.

This is one weirdass movie. It's supposed to be a sequel to the '58 _The Blob_, but one of the characters is watching the original film on TV. Not good, but definitely holds your attention as it swings wildly between humor and horror. There's a lot of dead space, but the first 20 minutes or so is surprisingly good horror business, and some of the lighter moments are remarkably funny. And, Good Lord, what a cast (including Hagman as one of the bums)

This had some incredibly funny moments despite generally being awful.

I saw this during a movie marathon and man is it hard as hell to watch. I probably hated it more because I was tired.

worth watching just for Larry Hagman's direction :-)
