Beyond the Rocks

Nice work on the restoration and good to see these two stars together, but film doesn't hold up as well as some other silents of the era.

Actually I thought this was a rather wonderful silent film. Seeing Swanson & Valentino together was enchanting.

Simple but incredibly well done love story. It takes a couple of interesting turns and the performances are really good, but mostly it's all about the very solid execution.

valentino's great, swanson is sub par, but bolder who plays the husband is the ringer in this movie. it's a good movie and the ending was just fantastic.

What a nice restoration, I liked the soundtrack they composed and the addition of sound effects although some of them were… weird: the sound of gravel being stepped on, the clapping, the ruffling of paper… felt a bit much? Kinda off-putting. Also, when they are in the restaurant in Paris you can hear for only a few seconds a bit of the Entertainer, very low, like it’s in the background. The sets are incredible, I loved the mountain scene, and the desert part was nice (but too cheesy).
